傀儡 — It’s All For Your Sake (A Personal Translation)

誰かが見つけたモノを、
when someone discovers something,
見つけたと思わせているのは誰？
who thinks that thing was already discovered by someone else?
誰も知りえぬあなたが、
the you, who no one is able to know,
見つめているのですか？
are you watching?

深い穴へと連れ込まれて、
taken down into a deep pit,
思考停止に至り、
they stopped thinking for themselves,
次第に無意識が抜き取られ、
gradually, their unconscious would be stolen from them,
傀儡となるのでしょう。
and they would become a puppet.

誰かが見つめる場所へ、
at the centre of someone’s field of view -
恐れず近づいてゆくあなたは誰？
who are you to fearlessly approach such a place?
知らないあなたを見つめる、
of the person watching the unknown you -
誰かに見られていた。
someone else was watching them, too.

深い穴へと抜け出せずに、
unable to escape this deep pit,
思考回路を焼かれ、
their trains of thought began to burn,
次第に自意識が溶け出して、
gradually, their self-consciousness began to dissolve,
傀儡となりました。
and they became a puppet.

形の無い道を象った、
imitating a formless path,
標識の向こうで、
beyond the streetsigns,
足跡を遺した誰かを、
i kept chasing someone
追いかけ続けていた。
who had left their footprints behind
